NO Fridges and freezers, batteries (including Car Batteries), TV’s, Computer and Electrical Equipment, Fluorescent Tubes, Fuel tanks, Paint, Tyres, Toxic waste, Asbestos, Gas cylinders, Drummed or liquid waste, contaminated waste, Special waste or Clinical waste to be placed in Skips. Such waste will be refused or subject to a surcharge.
Skips must not be loaded above the top of the skip. Materials must not be used to increase the size of the skip. Drivers may refuse to collect an overloaded skip or may unload any surplus. Additional charges for this will be the liability of the hirer.
Materials must not be burnt in skips. Any damage caused as a result of fire will be the liability of the hirer.
The hirer maintains responsibility for material placed in the skip.
The time allowed for depositing or collecting a skip is 20 minutes. If the vehicle is kept waiting longer than this after arrival, the hirer may be liable for any waiting time incurred.
Chilton Waste Services accept no responsibility for damage caused to drives, drain covers and grass areas when the skip has been positioned according to customer instructions.
If a skip is to be placed on a public highway Chilton Waste Services will arrange all appropriate permits. The provision and maintenance of warning signs and/or lights will be the hirer’s responsibility.
Loaded skips will not be collected until Chilton Waste Services or its agent have received payment in full.
Unless otherwise agreed, the standard hire period is 7-10 days. The hirer may be liable for surcharges on a daily basis if they exceed this period.
Please do not re-position skips after delivery. This may make it difficult to recover the full container.
Please ensure clear access is available on the day when full skips are due for collection.
